SEASON TO DATE SNOW

It's Military Appreciation Day here at Cannon, thanking all who are serving and who have served our country. We did get some rain last night but groomers are saying the slopes are in good shape and that the snow is soft out there.

For today, we will have free lift tickets for all US active duty, retired, reserve and veteran members of ALL military branches with proper military ID. We’ll also have half off full-day tickets for up to 3 immediate family members. 9 lifts are scheduled to spin, most will spin at 8:30am, except for the Aerial Tramway will opens at 8:15 am and the Brookside Triple which opens at 9am. Groomers have been out on 50+ trails tonight to bring you the best possible conditions for this morning.

The uphill skinning route is expected to be open today. For safety, make sure to adhere to our uphill skinning policy of staying to uphill skiers right on the trail, in single file, and to hug the tree line on your way up. Also, keep your eyes up the trail as you proceed.

Snowmaking Plan:

Snowmakers will continue to make snow whenever possible to build as big a base as possible, the more snow we make, the longer we get to ski into the spring. Snowmaking is on hold at the moment but temperatures should hopefully get good again tomorrow night. When snowmaking fires up again, guns will be aimed at Taft Training Slope, Dragon's Drop, Gremlin, and Brookside trails.

Terrain Park Plan:
Tossup Park is starting to take shape again with 6 rails, 2 medium jumps, 1 large jump, and the pill. The Huckerbrook Park is open with a few jumps a box and a rail.

Looking Ahead:
Next weekend we will have tons of activities for you starting on Friday January 31st with the Vertical Challenge, a free fun race for all ages. Saturday February 1st our annual Pirates of the High Seas fundraiser day returns, and on Sunday February 2nd we will have a Sport Thoma Demo Day!
